Dysphagia

stroke

A brain injury, immune problem and spinal cord injury among several others can cause Dysphagia which essentially means having significant difficulty when attempting to swallow. The inability to swallow is due to weak throat and esophagus muscles or due to the fact that something is trying to block those muscles. There are a number of exercises that we can work on together to help return swallowing abilities to the automatic manner they were set for prior to the problem.
